Carrot Canoes

Ingredients: 
  • 3-4 Celery Sticks
  • 1½ cups of Shredded Carrots
  • ¼ cup of Brown Sugar
  • SunButter® (a delicious peanut and tree-nut free peanut butter replacement!)
  • Ziplock Plastic Bags
Directions: 
  1. Place a few large spoonfuls of SunButter® into the Ziplock bag and seal (you may need a bit more, depending on how much you use). This will be turned into a make-shift pastry bag by cutting a small corner off of the baggie, which will make it easy for your Kitchen Kids to spread it onto the celery sticks!
  2. Have your Kitchen Kids mix the carrots and the brown sugar in a large mixing bowl with a wooden spoon. It’s fun, messy, and best of all – easy!
  3. Cut the celery sticks into 3 sections, making small “canoes”.
  4. Using your “new” pastry bag, have your Kitchen Kids spread a line of SunButter® onto the celery canoes!
  5. Top the canoes with a spoonful of the carrot and brown sugar mixture … and enjoy!!
